Twilight......

OK, so I know this post may upset any Twilight fans so if you are big on Twilight you may not want to read. So apparently I have come out of the Twilight closet. Which means that I use to like Twilight, but now I have suddenly come out and decided I absolutely despise that book. I hate it. I hate the whole story. I just need to vent about my feelings on the whole thing. Twilight is a story with no real plot and there is absolutley no depth to the characters. The whole thing is basically about lust and relationships. It drives me nuts at the way Bella lusts toward Edward and him towards her. My brother who is in fifth grade said that girls his age and some younger are reading it. What does Twilight say to them, it lies to them as to what relationships really are like. What I mean by that is that Edward gets up and leaves Bella for a period of time, kids probably see that as a normal, because then he comes back and its almost like it never happened. Also apparently as a junior in high school we know what love is. Bella is 17 and she is deeply "in love" with Edward. She lusts after him and tells him that she couldn't live without him and he must be with her at all times, and yaddi yaddi da, all of that mushy stuff. She is in High School for heavens sake. Also, Bella really only focuses on Edwards appearence, she always talks about how gorgeous he is so now she is physically drawn to him. What ever happened to personality, a sense of humor, and things like that. Does that not exist in relationships now? Now girls are looking for their perfect Edward, well I have news for them, he is not out there, and people can look all they want but they are not going to find him. He is an unrealistic character, guys are just not like that, sorry, real men don't sparkle. Anyways, sorry if that was a little harsh, but I just needed to get that out of my system. If anyone reading this likes Twilight, good for you, you keep on liking it. I am just stating my opinion and saying I don't like it.

My life right now

OK, so its been a while since I last posted. My goal for this year is to at least do it every month, we will see how that goes. :) So, I am going to update you on my life so far, recently, back in October I was with the marching band when one of our buses crashed and flipped over, ejecting our beloved staff member from the bus, she died on the scene. It was very hard to have to sit there on the other buses not knowing what was going on outside, all we could see for maybe two hours was the bus on the ground, students getting out, and police and ambulance sirens. It was a really hard thing for the band to have to deal with in the middle of our season. The amazing thing was that our staff member died a hero, she died saving the students on that bus, more people definitely should have died, we truly witnessed a miracle. She truly will be missed. In the end we dedicated the show to her and everytime we performed that show it was for her. After that event happened our band director brought a trauma counselor in and he taught us to look at this tragedy as an experience, he taught us to believe in ourselves and to believe that we can do anything, it was just an amazing experience. After all of this nothing else really happened in my life, but I am a senior in high school and I am getting ready to go to college in the fall. Its crazy to think that it is so soon. As of right now I am just trying to survive high school even though I am so done with it. I can't wait to move on with my life and start college. As of right now I really want to go into Psychology and become a Psychologist, if I do that I really wan to get a PhD and be a Psychologist for people with multiple personality disorders, schitzos (I think I spelled that right), and stuff like that. But I really won't decide completely until I start school and decide that's what I really want to do. Anyways, I am really excited, but right now I am in class, shh. :) So I have to go.

Girls Camp

Ok so I know that it is just so bad that I am writing about girls camp now since it was clear back in June. I have just been busy and I am not very good at updating things. But anyways, At girls camp we went to Heber Valley camp. Its a campsite dedicated by the church for young women. At the camp they did this unveiling of the new young women value, virtue. Sister Dalton, the General Young Women President came and spoke to all the girls camps that were attending. The spirit was felt very strong and it was just an amazing experience. Afterward my stake went back to camp for dinner. We had invited Sister Dalton to join us for dinner and she came. We got to hear her speak again but this time to my stake. After she spoke we were all able to go and talk to her if we wanted. It was probably one of my favorite spiritual experiences I have ever had. I am so grateful that I was able to be there.

American Idol

Ok, what just happened, Kris Allen won! That was so not expected. Everyone thought Adam would win from the start. He was 200 points ahead of Kris in the polls. I voted for kris up until the finale because I only wanted him to be the runner up. They usually do better. The American Idol contract is not the best. Even Kris was lost for words. This is crazy. Oh well I guess I should be happy for him. I did vote a lot after all. 250 + times a few of the weeks. :)

The Jonas Brothers

Oh my gosh I am so excited. This summer the Jonas Brothers are coming to Provo to perform at the Stadium of Fire and we get to go with the marching band!!! I love them. We are performing as well. So on July 3 we have a dress rehearsal. There is a huge possibility that we will get to meet them. Two years ago when we went we met Corbin Bleu at the dress rehearsal. I am so excited, though. I get to see them the 3rd and the 4th. :) I just love them!!!

School...

I can't believe how fast this year of school has gone by. My sister moved away for college at the beginning of the school year and now she is back for the summer. That just means that pretty soon I will be out for the summer. That is a scary thing because then when school starts back up again I will be a Senior!! That's crazy. It's hard to believe that I am about to enter my last year of high school and then I will be out in the real world making my own decisions. I am not sure that I am ready for that. My biggest wish after high school is to be able to move away somewhere back East and nanny for somebody for a couple years. Then I would like to take the money and attend a University prefferably where I nannied, then I can go to college outside of Utah and still pay instate tuition. Anyways, back to high school, :) its been a great school year, there has been some fun times and some not so fun times, but that is just how school is. Right? :) Well I hope that everybody is just as excited as I am for school to be out. Sorry I have not posted for a while, I am trying to be better at this, just bear with me.

Hello Everyone!

Wow it has been forever since I last posted. Right now I have been basically only doing color guard. lol. We are in our competition season now. We have done pretty well so far, we've won every one. we have three more shows if anyone is interested in coming. These last few are close so it wouldn't be a long travel like the others. If anyone wants to know about them just talk to me sometime and I will give you the information. I hope everybody is doing well and hopefully I will be able to get back into the habit of "blogging" again.
